pixie geek club

Pixie Geek Club is my E-commerce store launched in 2020. The branding and promoting aspect of this store is very prominent, as I designed the logo, the packaging products and the business cards, to each cohesively flow together. As well as the production and creating of each illustration that goes into each product, I wanted to make sure that the design reflected and matched the theme and focus of the shop and it's products.

HIT LIST

York St. John's student, Earl Ashton, approached me to create a short intro for his short film, Hit List. The intro needed to be short but impactful, so was decided on simply being a title screen, rather than animated or elongated. The screen cap chosen as the intro backdrop is a peaceful and scenic landcape shot, as well as a less decorative and assuming typeface, that rather contrasts what the viewer may perceive a film based on two assassins may be about - exactly how the client wanted.

GEARED INSURE

This is a mockup project for a fictional music instrument & tech insurance company called Geared Insure. The concept is to create a branding style along with a mock web page, advertising flyer and an instagram post. The main target audience is 18-30 year olds so it was important to use design elements (typefaces, layouts and colour palettes) and imagery reflective of this age range.

3 genres, 1 vinyl

3 Genres, 1 Vinyl started with the idea of creating a visual (the vinyl cover) which is easily recognisable as the designated music genre, without it being specifically sated what the chosen genre was. Selected at random my three genres were: K-Pop, Country and Alternative. The purpose of this project was a test of looking at key design styles, focusing on typeface selection, colour palettes, layout design and imagery choice.

bloody best of the 80's

This project is a re-visualisation of three of the most iconic 80’s horror novels, in attempt to popularise classic stories using modern design. Each of the books were created using the perfect binding method, merging my cover designs with copies of the original novels. This is a boxed and bounded book collection, intended as a homage to eighties horror.

Passionflower

Passionflower

In this project, I was invited by music artist Passionflower to create a sticker pack in line with his music and branding. These packs include 8 sticker designs with a backing card including social media promotion for both the client and the designer.

Claire'S BEAUTY

& fragrance

Claire's Beauty & Fragrance invited me to create some small printed graphics for the business, consisting of business cards, packaging stickers and thank you notes. The design reflects the sleek nature of the health and beauty business whilst also integrating the cosmetic supplier's logo as well.

Ticket Tree

Ticket Tree

This is Ticket Tree, an app designed to be a global ticketing hub for all your theme park needs. This project developed from a paperless ticketing system and blog site for the latest news in theme park sustainability movements, into a whole new sustainable canned drinks system as well.

Convention Culture 2.0

CONVENTION

CULTURE 2.0

This is a development of a previous convention culture zine. I have created a slightly larger format magazine exploring in depth what it means to be part of convention culture. Alongside the vibrant imagery, I used colour as a way of navigating through the magazine and content.

Dear Stranger

Dear Stranger

This project focuses on the impact that mental illness and state of mind can affect the lives of everyday people. I created a letter writing pack, aimed at coping with anxiety, loneliness and depression, with the intentions of helping out strangers & the people around us.

Graphic Design in Theme Parks

Graphic Design in

Theme Parks

In this project, I explored what elements of graphic design can be found in theme parks and how graphic design can effect the day to day runnings of theme parks. This outcome is a visual collection of all of my research, including books, videos, photographs, key individuals and such, in the format of an illustrated theme park map.

Firework

Firework

I came up with the concept for this firework design with autumn festivities in mind, combining both halloween and bonfire night into one. I created ‘The Hellraiser’, a firework shaped like the devil’s pitchfork with a coffin shaped box, heavily inspired by old ouija boards and Jack Daniel’s branding design.

Immerse App

IMMERSE

Immerse is an app designed to share and experience virtual reality videos via mobile devices. The app is designed with a more modern interface, using thin line weights for vectors and typefaces. This app layout was designed with Adobe XD.

Projector.

Projector. is a project where I explored the world of graphic design in cinema, all within the format of a magazine. I designed this magazine with a more hand-drawn touch, using cursive typefaces and free-hand doodles and marks, reflecting the theme of the magazine's content.

Projector Magazine
Identity Mgazine

Identity Magazine

This was a group project where myself and three designers came together and created Identity, a fashion identity magazine. We decided to hold a launch event for the magazine, designing all of the digital and printed elements including business cards, limited edition prints, an app, website and instagram page.
